Not being able to afford an historic Gibson Les Paul Goldtop '56 I have started to upgrade an Epiphone Goldtop '56 made in South Korea on Gibson specifications.

Then I benefitted from the quality of the trade of this guitar to make it improve in order to draw all the quintescence from it.

Moreover Epiphone P90 pickups are closer to the real thing than are the Epiphone Humbuckers.

On the left a picture showing the '56 GoldTop in its initial configuration, on the right a more recent picture of my modified guitar .

- Replacement of the tuners with Gotoh Vintage Keystone-style Machines (modern improved 15:1 gearing)

- Replacement of the TuneOMatic and of the StopBar with Gotoh.nickel parts.
- Replacement of the electronics:
Toggle switch, jack, pots, caps, wire and adoption of the '50 wiring.
